My job status has changed dramatically. I may have to leave Korea next month, but I’m not sure. Things are…slightly stressful. As of right now the prospects I have are: a crappy, low paying job that will allow me to keep training and stay in Korea, or unemployment in America. In the next few weeks I will be working to find a higher paying job that will allow me to keep training, whether it’s in Korea or elsewhere. Please wish me luck.
[added on 9/8/2011] Everything worked out well. I am still in Seoul. I live an easy 5 minute walk from work, I live closer to jiu jitsu, and things are good. I have a weird work schedule, but life is good.
Yikes. Hope things pan out for you. Take care.
Oh darn, I hope you find what you are looking for. You seem so happy where you are in life right now. I do hope that doesn’t get taken away. Good luck on the job search. HUGZIES!
I wish you luck. I’m also going to give you unsolicited advice: don’t sweat the big bucks. When you die, none of it matters. If you die in debt, you die in debt. If you die solvent, you die solvent. I’m not suggesting that you leap into profligate hedonism, but I am suggesting that you relax and enjoy BJJ/your cat/your friendships.
Sorry about the unfortunate situation, Julia. I hope it works out such that you don’t have to leave Korea.
Good luck Julia. I’m sure things will work out for you, keep your head up! 🙂
I’m sure you will be able to overcome any bad situation 🙂 keep it up 🙂
I’m thinking of you and hope things work out for the best. Sometimes amazing opportunities present themselves when we least expect it.
🙁
I hope things work out for you! At the end of the day BJJ is a hobby and necessary life stuff like this needs to be addressed.
Here’s wishing you many luck!!!! 🙂
