It snuck up on me, but here it is. (Also, randomly, did you know that “snuck” isn’t a word–“sneaked” is the proper term, but darn it, I love the word “snuck.”) My West Coast Tour is about to begin, and it’s off to a dodgy start. I’m injured and also today I started getting a cold. Nooooooo!
I’m starting an anti-jet lag diet today. The way it works is that 3 days before your trip, you have a high protein feast day for breakfast and lunch, then a high carb feast for dinner. Then 2 days before you have a fasting day, eating thin soups and salads, etc. Day bef0re=feast day, day of the trip: fasting day. You end your fast by eating a high protein breakfast when it is breakfast time at your destination. This has been shown to effectively reduce jet lag. I’m still a bit concerned that I may be a zombie at the first part of my trip.
Blogging about schools! My plan is to have a small paragraph about the school itself: link to its website, getting there, how many students, my first impressions, etc. Then go on to describe the class I took–how many people were there, what the feel was, the mix of students, etc. Then finally to put in some personal stories of what happened during the visit, people I met, and post a few pictures.
Do you have any special requests? Anything in particular you’d be interested in reading about in a visiting school?
Oh hai–here’s a picture of both of my nieces!
And now I’m off to pack.
