I have arrived safely in Washington state! I am excited to be here. I bought myself three gis while I was in Korea, so it was like Christmas had arrived early!
My time in America so far has been filled with family and friends, and boxes. Yes, boxes. Boxes and boxes and boxes. I’m sorting through all my stuff and hacking and slashing through them. It’s time to get rid of so much stuff. Today I got rid of 3 boxes of books.
Blargh. This week I made it through all the boxes – next step will be going through it with a fine tooth comb – and making harder decisions. Sadly, as I live in a tiny, one room apartment in Seoul – I don’t have a lot of room for a lot of stuff.
Which brings me back to BJJ – when I get back home I need to sell some of my gis. I have gis that do not fit terribly well because either they’re too short (my Muaewear pants), or the size was too large (my pink blossom gi). I also have some items that I lost too much weight to wear. I need to spend the time and energy to find new homes for them.
What about you? What do you need to cull from your BJJ closet?
Also, MERRY CHRISTMAS*
