Today was my birthday! Happy birthday to me! I had the chance to celebrate it with my teammates. Over the weekend I got a pedicure, haircut, and a day at the Korean spa – including a massage, scrub, and cucumber mask.
For my dinner at 5pm I ate a home cooked steak, had a muffin and black coffee. Mmmmm forbidden sugar! Then I went to the 6:30pm class and stayed for 2 classes – 3 total hours. Just to give you an idea – Korea is EXTREMELY hot and humid right now.
My instructor bought a cake for me and after the first class they sang Happy Birthday to me in Korean.
Fun was had by all. Yes, my instructor is pretending to push me into the cake.
As you can see I was terribly upset.
Me with one of the ladies at our gym.
Then I rolled until I died.
And – best part: I rolled with one of my teammates who is a purple belt named Rick. So, yeah, I got RICK ROLLED on my birthday! Hahahahaha.
Happy birthday to me! It was a great one!
My Jiu Jitsu team is my Korean family. I’m so thankful I got to celebrate with them.
Thank you to everyone involved! And thanks to you guys for reading! I appreciate all that jiu jitsu has brought into my life, you guys included. Did you have a BJJ birthday? Do you have one coming up? How will you celebrate?
