Sad, but true. I missed BJJ on Monday and today because…I just dawdled at home. Looked at the clock and realized I was going to be 15, 20, 30 minutes late. Nope! I’d rather not go than be that late. Being late is a constant issue with me. My natural clock seems to be on “when I’m there” time. I’m not late for work, though I do tend to go in later than the other trainers would like :(. With my current school I usually am early, but I’m OKAY if I go in 5 minutes late. 10 minutes is past my comfortable late range and I just won’t go.
I did make it to class 3 times this week, and plan to go tomorrow, but I’m realizing I NEED to do something about this need to SIT and ZONE OUT. Ugh. Self sabotage FTL. Next week: 5 classes, no excuses.
I know some schools are ultra-punctual, while others are more on a “when students show up” schedule, so my question for you:
If your class started at 7:30, what is the latest you would be comfortable showing up?
[edited to add] I admitted to my instructor that I missed two classes this week because I was stuck in the Internet and would have been late. COME TO CLASS he said. LATE IS OKAY. So looks like I have no more excuses. 🙂
